Registration for the 2024 awards opened on 23 May 2024 and will close on at 11.59pm on Monday 24 June 2024. Entries received after the deadline will not be considered. Our esteemed judging panels, comprising legal and business professionals of the highest calibre, will evaluate the submissions.

Steps for entering
- Request the entry pack, including your template submission: Complete the Request entry pack form to register your interest and be sent the entry pack for your chosen categories. This will include the criteria for your chosen award category and a template submission form.
- Read the Eligibility criteria and Terms & conditions: We strongly recommend you read both of these carefully to ensure you meet all the requirements before proceeding.
- Pay your entry fee: Pay for the award(s) you wish to be considered for. Don’t forget to take advantage of the ‘early bird’ discount, in place until 11.59pm on Monday 24 June 2024. You will then receive a link to the awards submission site.
- Prepare your entry and supporting information: Utilise the template provided, within your entry pack, to craft your entry. Gather all necessary supporting information, including evidence of your achievements, testimonials and other relevant documentation. Don’t forget to refer back to the award criteria to ensure you’ve covered everything.
- Submit your award-winning entry: Complete your entry and ensure all required documents are included. Submit your entry before the deadline on Monday 24 June at 11.59pm to be considered for the National Paralegal Awards.
Eligibility
The National Paralegal Awards warmly welcomes entries from all professionals within the Paralegal profession, including legal assistants and clerks. Registrations with the Professional Paralegal Register (PPR) or membership in any organisation is not a requirement for participation.
Entries are open to both companies and individuals, provided they meet the specific entry criteria for their chosen category.
Please note that entrants must be based in the United Kingdom to be eligible for the awards.
Entries
To enter the National Paralegal Awards, please follow these steps:
- Register and pay: Register for the categories you wish to enter and complete the payment process.
- One entry per category: Please note that there is a strict limit of one entry per individual or organisation category.
- Up to three categories: You may enter up to three categories if you meet the criteria for each one.
- Multiple organisations: Employees from more than one organisation may enter individual awards, provided they meet the criteria.
- Include essential details: Ensure your entry includes details of your experience, qualifications, achievements and how you excel in your chosen sector. If you’re nominating someone, be sure to gather all necessary information beforehand.
- Provide supporting information: Include client testimonials, case studies and details of how you’ve developed a strong reputation in your area of expertise, setting yourself apart from competitors.
- Highlight achievements: Clearly outline your achievements, detailing how you’ve met objectives and targets and why these accomplishments are significant.
- Provide evidence: Support your entry with adequate evidence. Please note that video files cannot be uploaded directly, instead host the video on a suitable site and include a link in your entry or supporting documents.
- Confidentiality: Rest assured that all entries will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

Nominations
If you’d like to nominate an individual or business for one of the categories, please complete the nomination form. Once submitted, we will reach out to the nominated person or business and extend an invitation for them to enter the awards.
Terms and Conditions
Please ensure you read and understand the Terms and Conditions of entry:
- Eligibility and categories: Ensure you are eligible to enter and have selected the correct category or categories. You may enter up to three categories, which can be a mix of individual and business categories.
- Entry period: Entries will be accepted from 23 May 2024 to 24 June 2024 at 11.59pm. Entries received after this deadline will not be considered. Finalists will be announced on 15 July 2024.
- Submission requirements: In each section of your entry, clearly explain why you deserve the award, detailing your objectives and achievements. Entries must stay within the specified word count. Submit one PDF document with up to 4 pages of evidence, ensuring permission is sought and personal information is redacted where necessary.
- Entry format: Entries must only be submitted online, via the National Paralegal Awards 2024 submission and judging platform, you will receive a link to this platform once you’ve made payment for your award categories.
- Deadline extensions: CILEX reserves the right to extend the closing date.
- Category withdrawal: CILEX reserves the right to withdraw categories with insufficient entries.
- Event format: The event may be changed to a virtual event if circumstances beyond CILEX’s control prohibit a live event.
- Fees: Entry fees are non-refundable
- Confirmation: You should receive confirmation by email within 24 hours of entering. If not, please contact events@cilex.org.uk
- Shortlisting and winners: Shortlisted entrants will be informed by email on 15 July 2024. Winners will be announced at the National Paralegal Awards Gala on 5 September 2024, at the Burlington Hotel, Birmingham.
- Attendance: By entering, you agree to purchase a ticket to attend the Awards Gala if you become a finalist. If unable to attend, you must send a replacement.
- Awards and marketing: Finalists will receive a framed certificate, and winners will receive an engraved trophy. By entering, you agree to receive marketing communications related to the event, to complete a case study testimonial for CILEX to use in future marketing campaigns and to CILEX publishing event photographs/video footage, which you may be included in across their website and social media channels.
- Judges’ decision: The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Event hosts: The event is hosted by the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX).
